How to use after shave
What is after shave balm?
After shave balm is a soothing, moisturising product to minimise skin irritation and address post-shaving skin concerns, such as redness and dry skin.
How to use after shave balm:
Not sure how to apply after shave balm?
- First, cleanse skin after you shave and rinse well with warm water before patting dry with a clean towel
- Apply a small amount of after shave balm to your palms (around the size of a ten pence piece will do) and rub your hands together to warm and loosen the product
- Use your hands to massage the after shave balm in a circular motion across your upper lip, cheeks, chin, jawline and neck until all trace of the product has disappeared
When to use after shave balm:
After shave balm is used after you shave to smooth and soothe the skin.
Why use after shave balm:
Many men find shaving removes hair effectively but can leave skin feeling irritated or ‘burned’. Using a shaving cream to shave with, (followed by a post-shave or after shave balm immediately after shaving), helps to alleviate any discomfort, redness or soreness. For best results, we recommend cleansing before applying after shave balm to maximise efficacy and remove all trace of shaving cream or stray hairs.
Can you use after shave balm as lotion?
No. Whilst both after shave balm and lotion are created to moisturise the skin, they are different products with different purposes. After shave balm is formulated to soothe skin post-shave, with ingredients to cool redness and minimise irritation. In comparison, lotion purely moisturises skin. After shaving, a standard lotion may aggravate skin instead of soothing it as it is not formulated to be used on sensitive or potentially broken skin.
